New Species Arrives in Atania
By Milos Osurr Star Date: 18.11.2511 A new species, dubbing themselves as “humans”, have recently made entry into the far western quadrant of Atania. Arriving on three conquest-class starships, the human species was approached by a squadron of patrolling Kunar units, which proceeded to open fire on the vessels. After a short firefight and losses on both sides, Kunar High Lord Rorq called for a ceasefire and a meeting between leadership of both parties. “We have forgiven these humans for the losses of our Regime forces, and they have forgiven us for the loss of theirs,” High Lord Rorq said. “There was a misunderstanding and clear tension among both parties. We will assess the situation further, including any political alliances.” The Chyl, currently embroiled in a military standstill with the Kunar, also sent diplomats to greet the human starships. “The future of Atania is ever-changing. A new species in our midst means new opportunities, but also new problems,” said Alis leader Myshra Vin. Vin explained that while the Chyl are looking forward to making connections with the galaxy’s latest addition, the humans would first need time to settle in. Humans are bipedal creatures with an average life span of one-hundred to one-hundred-and-thirty years. Their facial structure, hair, and genetics make them the closest to Chyl, Ixr, and Uvari biologically. This is the first introduction of a new species into Atania since the arrival of the Docians five centuries ago. Humanity has been granted access to the galactic lexicon by the High Prime and is expected to have an official introduction to the over four-hundred-and-seventy species of Atania at the next assembly for the Collective Galactic Council.

Firefight in Ituch Sends Civilians Scrambling
By: Milos Osurr Star Date: 13.7.2533 Citizens are calling for action after an explosion and reported firefight broke out at the top of Tiokali Tower early last night. The explosion occurred on the rooftop of Tiokali, two floors away from where board members were meeting with potential investors to settle on a new distribution deal. Tiokali Industries has issued a press release stating that no members of the board, nor the members of the visiting investment team, were harmed in the explosion. Authorities say that foul play is suspected and are actively investigating. “I saw some kind of ship take off in a hurry from the roof,” said Ituchian bystander Wol Kestrat, “It passed through the smoke and then just disappeared in the blink of an eye. No sound, no trail.” The government of Ituch has called upon the assistance of the U.I.F.H. due to Tiokali’s nature as a human-run company. General Syrinal Kerrigee has stepped in as the lead for the investigation. Kerrigee has offered no comment at this time.

Golah Gone After Meteor Strike
By: Vinanzi Qual Star Date: 30.10.2646 The High Prime is racing to send aid after a meteor struck and cracked apart Golah, one of the moons in the Avir system. The moon was impacted around 2:15 A.M. AST, and was shattered into thousands of smaller pieces that were spread out into the atmosphere. Some of this debris is currently projected to hit Hexut, another moon in the Avir system, within the next two weeks. The High Prime has requested the aid of Bera Corps., a paramilitary organization that handles planetary cleanup, to detour the remaining debris before it reaches Hexut. The operation was placed under the oversight of Human High Prime representative, Rilen Fev. “With the help of Bera Corps., we will make sure that the citizens of Hexut, and any of those traveling through the Avir system, are safe from the aftermath of this unexpected event,” said Fev. Golah was marked by the U.I.F.H. as uninhabitable due to the extreme freezing temperatures and bare landscape, and the U.I.F.H. has clarified that there are no known civilians or military personnel located on the planet, despite numerous rumors of a mining facility. No debris is expected to strike Avir itself, which remains an uninhabited tropical planet. Despite this, the U.I.F.H. will be placing military patrols to reduce travel over the next three weeks.
